Field Service Engineer sought by a highly successful leisure software and hardware manufacturer based in Stoke-on-Trent, to cover the Midlands region.

The Role:
Based within the Service Division as part of the Midlands team, this role focuses on the provision of a high-quality maintenance and technical support to end customers in this area.

In addition to providing service support to UK sites, there will be opportunities for travel to mainland Europe and ROW. Your key duties will include:

  • Provide exceptional service to customers within a designated region
  • Installation of clients’ and third-party systems and products
  • Carry out hardware and software modifications/upgrades on existing sited equipment
  • Regular PPM maintenance of existing products
  • Root cause analysis and removal of issues
  • Continuous improvements in the processes and service
  • Management and control of spare parts allocated to you and in your region
  • Communication and escalation of any service issues in-line with the relevant processes
  • Flexibility to travel to other regions during periods of high workload
  • Building long-term working relationships with customers
  • Working as part of a team or individually responding to on site customer support requests
  • To undertake any other duties required by management to meet the needs of the business
  • Use the corporate Service Management System (GEMS) accurately and in real-time to aid reporting
  • Provide a service level in-line with Service Agreements
  • Ensure call cover is maintained in your region during periods of holidays and sickness
  • Keep accurate boot stocks and consume parts as per the process
  • Ensure all equipment is serviced to the required standard and on-site records accurately maintained
  • Ensure documentation is recorded accurately
  • Weekend and evening call-out cover on a rota system with other regional engineers
  • Reactive call-out response to customer sites within a designated region on a 1 in 4 rota basis. Working from 12-12, Mon-Sun, (hours subject to change)

The successful Field Service Engineer will demonstrate:

  • Ideally 5 years related technical maintenance / service support experience
  • Strong electrical / electronic background
  • Relevant engineering qualifications and/or certifications would be preferable
  • Experience of networks, server installation and maintenance would be desirable
  • PC literate with ability to create, modify and maintain MS office documents (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work away if required with flexible approach to working hours and location
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven organisational skills and self-motivated
  • Previous casino experience is not necessary, and applications are welcomed from engineers with manufacturing experience

 
Benefits Package

  • £26,000 salary + overtime
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Overtime at time and a half
  • Contracted hours 44 hours per week
  • Pension 3% employer 5% employee
