Description
Internal Sales Advisor sought by the furniture solutions division of a global polymer manufacturer with over 20,000 employees across 170 locations worldwide to join their team based in Irlam, Manchester.
The Role:
Known formally within the company as New Business Internal Sales Representative, you will be situated within the sales support team. Your duties will include:
- 50% of your time will be generating new business opportunities via outbound calls, confirming potential for products before passing to the Sales Managers
- Calling warm leads in the industry and previous clients
- Liaising with small independent / boutique kitchen shops
- Qualifying customer data to generate a focus list for onward sales and helping to manage the Company’s CRM system
- Developing additional sales of products via cross-selling opportunities from inbound and outbound calls
- Using research and external industry magazines to source and log new potential prospects and market information relevant to the furniture industry on internal database
- Updating CRM database in conjunction with Sales Managers on market size/share, new opportunities and priorities
- Assessing and documenting relevant information on competition, stock holding, range portfolio and locations
- Managing some small accounts (circa 2-5 clients) and operating as holiday cover for Sales Coordinators
The successful New Business Internal Sales Representative will have:
- Previous experience in a telesales or outbound business development role
- Experience in B2B sales would be advantageous
- Excellent telephone and communication skills
- Computer literate, strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Teams
- Experience of using SAP would be advantageous
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Able to work under own initiative and also as part of a team within a busy, customer-focused sales office
- Knowledge of CRM systems would be beneficial although training will be provided
