Senior Technical Developer / Software Developer Lead sought by the IT services department of a leading, national recruitment company to join their head office team near Coventry.
The Role:
Based in their grade II listed head office building, you will join a friendly and professional team to seek new, innovative technologies that will contribute and support a large tech ecosystems for the company. Reporting to the Development Manager, as Senior Technical Developer Lead your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expertise and architectural assistance in designing and implementing systems that will increase cost effectiveness
- Working on projects involved in new CRM and Billings systems. Replacing legacy systems and some middleware where relevant/possible
- Looking at current systems and if they should write it in house or develop a bespoke solution or buy an ‘off the shelf’ solution
- Ensuring designs are well-documented and preparing detailed technical specifications
- Mentoring, promoting and encouraging the team to actively take part in improving systems, quality, security and working methods by providing technical assistance and cross training
- Collaborating with other departments and third party providers to ensure the successful delivery of projects
- Keeping up to date with the latest technologies
- Sharing your knowledge and experience within the team
- Helping to ensure the business meets its strategic goals and obligations productively, legislatively, and operationally
The successful Senior Technical Developer / Software Developer Lead will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar, Senior Technical Lead role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to liaise clearly and concisely with colleagues and customers of all levels
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload, and review and effectively schedule work
- Experience of identifying and achieving objectives to meet deadlines
- Experience of applying concepts and principles to draw logical conclusions and recognising connections/patterns and inconsistencies/discrepancies to bring projects to completion through flexible thought processes
- Knowledge of the recruitment industry is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of front office systems, payroll and accounts is beneficial

- £55,000 - £60,000 salary
