Technical Specifications Manager - Building Solutions is sought by an international manufacturer of polymer solutions, supplying construction, industrial and automotive industries, to manage sales within the London region for their Building Solutions division. Dealing with Architects and consultants including; renewable energy systems (ground source), window & curtain walling applications and heating systems.
Key Objective:
Your main activity is to increase awareness of our client’s brand and Building Solutions products within the London and South East area. You will be responsible for promoting and gaining specifications for their Building Solutions products. Working closely with the sales team your aim is to maximise the divisional turnover through specifications of the above solutions via Consulting Engineers and Architects, Contractors and Clients focussing on large projects.
The Role:

  • This is a field sales role working from our Specification London Hub & home based, mainly covering the London Area
  • Responsible for promoting and gaining specifications for the product range of Building Solutions products portfolio including but not limited to surface heating, thermally activated systems, underfloor heating, cooling, soil & waste water, renewable energy systems, underfloor heating, cooling, soil & waste water.
  • Your activity will be focussed towards the key decision makers involved with large building projects in London and the South East
  • You will be responsible for increasing sales and specifications along with ensuring regular planning and reporting is provided on all projects acting in an advisory project management capacity
  • Increase client brand awareness as market leader where technical solutions are required for large projects
  • Main activities towards Specification market – Clients, Consultants, Contractors & Architects and are large project orientated
  • Achieving sales and specification targets

The successful Technical Specifications Manager should have:

  • Relevant product and market knowledge in the Building Solutions which includes surface heating, thermally activated systems, underfloor heating, cooling, soil & waste water, renewable energy systems, underfloor heating, cooling, soil & waste water in London area
  • You will possess a proven track record of gaining specifications for large projects in the capacity of a specifications manager
  • You will have the ability to develop relationships at all levels in the specification market and recognise and exploit new market opportunities
  • You will have a structured approach to the role, be an excellent communicator, well organised with honed presentation skills
  • You will deliver bespoke CPD (Continuous Professional Development) seminars to the industry on a range of topics and be commercially ‘savvy’
  • A strong track record of successfully developing and building relationships from the ground up at all levels within this market
  • Very organised and disciplined in your approach
  • Excellent communication and presentations skills
  • Strong organisation and a structured approach. Have worked in a home based environment
  • Attend sales meetings with peers and line manager
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
