Start Date

Field Sales Executive sought by a leading company within the building and construction sector to secure retained and new business in the Greater London area.

Working on a mixture of established and new business, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring day-to-day sales targets are achieved as well as pushing and develop new customer pipelines specifically focussing on the geographical areas of the business.

You’ll deal extensively with customers to identify their needs by providing product advice, dealing with quotes and queries, liaising with all members of staff and actively seeking sales through customer contacts in order to maximise sales opportunities.

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your duties will include:

  • Proactively cold call new clients & secure a continuous pipeline of new business
  • Maintain & develop existing accounts with a view to increase both product mix & margin
  • Achieving targets and meeting KPIs and deadlines
  • Enthusiastic in nature and the ability to build strong customer relations
  • Researching new business opportunities
  • Listening to customer requirements to successfully make a sale
  • Maintaining & developing relationships with customers via telephone calls, emails and visits
  • Challenging any objections with a view of getting customers to buy
  • Communicating and adapting to a variety of customers from diverse backgrounds
  • Attending weekly sales meetings
  • Actively dealing with sales enquiries, converting sales and offering appropriate upsells

The successful Field Sales Executive should have:

  • Previous experience in a sales role in the construction/building supplies industry
  • Proven track record of successful sales performance
  • Strong knowledge of products sold within the construction industry and excellent commercial awareness of the industry
  • Full UK driving licence
