An experienced HSEE Coordinator is sought by a world leader in the manufacture of automotive components to join their plant in Liverpool.

The Role:

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for HSEE including monitoring issues e.g. audits, PPE, Fire Safety, Housekeeping, Waste Management, and reporting issues to management. Your duties will include:

  • Organise and co-ordinate environmental, health & safety activity
  • Carry out risk assessments, inspections and audits; report findings and resolutions / requirements
  • Investigate and report all accidents, near misses, illnesses and emergency responses
  • Ensure all corrective, preventive actions and controls are implemented
  • Maintaining ISO 14001 certification
  • Define, track and achieve annual HSE objectives and targets
  • Support plant ergonomic champion as per HRT4ERGO standard; archive meeting minutes
  • Track and report HSE related KPIs and other performance indicators
  • Keep the list of legal requirements updated and inform management team of significant changes that may have an impact
  • Liaise with Occupational Health regarding any health and safety issues raised
  • Working with Department Managers to lead Health and Safety training sessions
  • Liaise with insurers for all company employee and public liability claims
  • Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with HSE requirements and valid permits to work
  • Coordinate and control First Aid activities, accident and spillage investigations and collation of accident statistics (internal and external reporting)
  • Liaise with Regional HSE Champion and HR Team on Occupational Health issues
  • Conduct assessments for noise, ESD measuring, Infrared etc. Initiate corrective actions

The successful HSEE Coordinator will ideally have the following skills/experience:

  • Health, Safety & Environment qualification e.g. IOSH, NEBOSH
  • Experience in a H&S role within a manufacturing environment
  • HSE Standards (ISO14001, OHSAS18001) and UK HSE Regulations and legislation
  • Basic knowledge of local Fire Protection Standards
