A Qualified Lift Installation Engineer is required by our client, a forward thinking and leading Independent lift company with an established wealth of experience and track record stretching across the lift sector within the UK. Their service incorporates consultancy and design, manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning and an aftercare service

The UK management team has grown the business effectively and are now looking for 2 key individuals will be given a real development opportunity working towards being an integral part of the Business plans longer term. Can be based anywhere between Milton Keynes, Northampton, Nottingham, Leicester, London, Birmingham, Peterborough, Oxford, and surrounding areas

Role

This is a technical and practical hands-on opportunity providing technical support on all installation projects for your customer and engineering teams. You will ensure a high level of service and support whilst operating to company and site Quality, Environmental health and safety guidelines and standards. In addition to this, you will support in trouble shooting and providing solutions; identify areas of improvement to the project and highlighting any financial risks upholding financial control and profitability. All aspects of site installation management including:

  • Responsible for the install modify, refurbish various types of lift installation to company guidelines
  • Management of new lift field activities commencing with site surveys where required and so ensuring that site is ready to accept delivery and meet specifications.
  • Responsible for the quality of all installations handed over to the client and installations in service.
  • Field trouble shooting
  • Technical liaison with suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Delivering project to specification, on time and within cost
  • Liaison with customers regarding logistic and technical issues that may arise on the contract
  • Management of installation and site related sub-contractors
  • Arrangement of delivery of equipment from suppliers and transport companies to suit site, customer and LS Lifts requirements
  • Provide weekly Contract and Programme Status reports to enable invoicing to be carried out
  • Provide information regarding scheduled supplier delivery to enable supplier payments to be forecast and scheduled
  • Maintain Company Programme Schedule
  • Assist with the Maintenance of Health and Safety Records and ensure all Company Personnel and sub-contractors carry out their duties in accordance with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provide End of Project Analysis Reports
  • Responsible for co-ordinating and maintaining a ’customer care’ approach to all customers

Person

This is a rare and exciting development opportunity for an individual who has a can-do attitude combined with the technical know-how including;

  • Aptitude for problem solving and be a self-starter and self-responsible as this is a customer centric role.
  • Ideally with an practical engineering or technical qualification or experience.
  • NVQ 3 Lift Installation qualified essential
  • Technical experience of working in the lift or construction industry desired, but not essential.
  • Technical and troubleshooting experience.
  • Good written communication skills.
  • Strong Organisational and Planning Skills.
  • Methodical with attention to detail and accuracy.

C£40,000 DOE + Car Scheme + benefits, with OTE of 50K, based on a project completion bonus
