.NET Developer is sought by a market leading full-service digital agency to join their team based Just outside Stockport. Reporting directly to the Head of Development we are looking for someone with a passion for both innovation and maintaining development practice to build dependable systems.

This varied role covers a range of domains from recruitment to online retail eCommerce and business-to-business ordering systems, and will cover the spectrum of expertise from working with front-end HTML, JavaScript, APIs through to backend databases.

The Role:

As a .Net Developer you will work on websites and web applications through the full life cycle, from implementing new projects to supporting and upgrading current client websites.

This role would suit a .Net Developer with a couple of years’ commercial experience who is looking for a role that will allow them to quickly make the step up into a more senior position and contribute to gathering requirements from clients and quoting for new work.

Your daily duties will include:

  • Building exciting new client websites with latest designs and technologies
  • Working with the technical and project management team
  • Identifying and fixing any system errors
  • Taking technical specs for new and existing customers
  • Producing new database driven web applications for customers
  • Meeting and maintaining best practice coding standards

The successful .Net Developer will demonstrate:

  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • ASP.Net Framework 3.5 / 4.5 – C#, MVC
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • Database design, maintenance, and Entity programming
  • XHTML / CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, angular.js
  • W3C web standards, Semantic Mark-up
  • CMS Experience 
  • Visual Studio
  • Ability to build and evolve commercially viable websites and implement projects on time and to budget
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Consider and challenge all technical requirements
  • Effective time management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with Directors, Sales, Project Managers and SEO team
  • Career minded with a view to becoming an integral part of the agencies fabric
